Top to Bottom: Marshall 1964A 4x10”, 1922 2x12”, 1960A 4x12”
The one all the way to the right in the bottom is a Marshall 1553 Bass cab with stock 2x10” and 1x15”
The new addition here is the 1964A 4x10”. I’d had two of these cabs years ago and, like a moron, got rid of them both. Insistent regret. Punchy little things you can get loud with and really push hard into nice break up, but without being 4x12” loud.
An added bonus is the four Celestions (35w) have straight sequential serial numbers dating to April ‘86
A size for every budget. Craigslist, $200;

one of the most awesome scores in the history of neatjunkfromthriftstores, a Plycraft Eames Lounge and Ottoman. $280.
hello tumblr folk… Before i started “tumbling” or whatever, I figured since I basically spent all my free time at thrift stores taking pictures of strange things anyway, i figured i might as well share and do a blog type thang. Only thing is I didnt really want to write anything, so tumblr was the way to go and it turned out pretty cool. I never figured anybody else would really be into the same crap as I am, but there are apparently quite a few of you who do, which is awesome.
Unfortunately, the fine Orwellian overlords here at the tumbl-nation have now decided that if you update your iPhone app (which i did recently), You have to enable location tagging of all your photos if you want to upload from your gallery.
Fuck that. Im gonna try and limit this “old man angry at machines” rant to the bare minimum, but that really is some bullshit. Im sure the only reason for this is to sell it to advertisers who’ll collate the locations so they can advertise crap there. Even if they do nothing with it, it’s still creepy as hell and generally uncool.
Since I usually take a bunch of pictures when Im out and then post em from my phone later while I sit outside chain smoking Parliament lights, my gallery is an integral part of the process, and now im locked out from it. This means I can only do it from a computer, so neatjunkfromthriftstores is going to get a lot less frequent, ‘cause I just don’t find myself sitting in front of a computer for recreation all that often (8-12 hrs a day working on one pretty much will do that).
Not that anybody really cares, but I’d though I make a minor big deal of this because I find the whole thing pretty wrong. Especially ‘cause it only affects people who come up with the original content that keeps this thing going, something this system needs more of, not less.
Anywhoo, thanks for the interest
